Taking a set break
My PlayBreak is OLG's self-exclusion program for Ontario casinos. A casino break lasts 3 or 6 months, or 1 to 5 years. During that time it bars entry to every Ontario casino, not just one. It cannot be cancelled early, so the length deserves some thought before enrolling. To enrol, call the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098 or ask staff at a casino.
BetGuard, run by iGaming Ontario at betguard.ca, handles the online side. A person 19 or older can use it to exclude themselves from every regulated Ontario online gambling site at once, OLG.ca included. Land-based casinos are outside its reach.
A floor with no closing time
The casino floor and live tables in Innisfil are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No closing time arrives to end a visit. Setting a time limit and a spending amount before leaving the car does that job instead, along with a plan for the drive home. Decide who drives, and when, at the same moment. Under Ontario law, no one under 19 may enter or stay in a gaming site, casino or online, except staff at work.
